Humidity ramping up quite a bit...hoping for some good rains as the lawn is getting quite crispy! (2.24" below normal so far this year)

High today 74.6 Low 59.6 (3.6 below normal so far this month)

Wxsim has 1.19" of rain falling by 730am tomorrow....have a sneaky suspicion the heaviest corridor of rain will fall across Southern Chester County and east bound and we will not end up much more than a 1/2 inch of rain out of this event. Also of interest the Wxsim program does have our first 90 forecasted for NW Chester County PA in the last 3 long years  for either Friday or Saturday but again I have seen this before and would bet we end up at somewhere in the upper 80's....

You could see that low ceilings/ cloud levels really spoiled the DC fireworks. NYC ones much easier to enjoy.

Cigs dropped several hundred feet just before the show started, after the decision to do them had been made.

South jersey and central de take the heavy rainfall award. Probably will have some 2"+ totals down there easily

0.47" .  Perfect intensity rain.

1.49" Dennis Township / Cape May County highest rain total on CoCoRahs so far.

2.11" in Dover off of DEOS.

Yeah, it would be hard to cancel them under any circumstance. Thousands are at that show well in advance.

Sellersville area had .34" before midnight and 1.03" after midnight. I apparently slept through the heavy rain.

It was a nice soaking rain. The reason I know that is because my sump pump is actually running this morning.

Only 0.47" here in NW Chesco....as suspected heaviest rains stayed south of here - that won't be enough to stave off some serious browning of lawns by later this week!

Currently

cloudy and 71.3

0.72" in Ewing.  (TTN's 0.11" for yesterday is bogus, I think a bird pooped in the gauge or something and clogged it up)

0.92" here in VA.

I think the pooped up gauge goes back to Friday when they only recorded a T while all the surrounding locations checked in measurable precip??
