Here in the higher spots we only made it down to 34.5....we have only had 1 sub-freezing morning so far this year....but it was in the 20's club at 29.3 on the 19th of October. No doubt low spots around the area were below freezing. Looks like a few lows this week will be in the 20's.

I've been following the death watch for Tony's peppers and rooting for them to hang in there, haha.  Potted and brought in my most robust basil and pepper plants Sunday afternoon in advance of this cold snap.  What was left of the remaining basil plants (after harvesting most of them for pesto Sunday night) bit it for the most part this morning.  However the rest of the pepper crop survived the night.  I see that PHL only got down to 33F overnight and only very briefly, so up here I'd imagine we were at 31-32F for an hour or so, not enough for a killing frost to knock off the peppers.  But basil's as good as any weather station to let you know when your locale has officially recorded its first 32F temperature for the season.
