...I heard someone who's been out west for a while is moving to DC :)

Finally a return to normal weather here!  The check is in the mail (nudge, nudge, wink, wink.)

What will you be doing at your new office?  Promotion, or mere transfer to a more prestigious(?) location?

You still plan on illuminating us on the forums I hope!

It is a promotion.

Thank you all!

yup I believe so. You get outside of dc on nw side they have some elev.

Yeah, I was just in DC and visited a friend in Sterling. She has done pretty well this winter. I'd probably go a little further northwest of Sterling. Especially since the office isn't in D.C.

Congrats Ray. Got a timeline?

Thanks!  I report for duty in Sterling on May 14th.  So, better get all your east coast snowstorms in before then, after that, kiss 'em good bye ;)  (I hope not, but knowing karma, it'll probably balance out that way)

Great news Ray, very happy for you. Closer to the the fam. That's important. I'm guessing you won't be flying (or driving) back home for big events?

If I happened to have off during a storm, and was able to do so (and the storm looked better in Ewing than in Sterling), then yeah, I could drive home.  Of course, its quite possible I'd be working the event in which case, no I wouldn't, obviously.
