Decent day today….close to a inch

Mostly missed out the last two days but it wasn’t a shutout. The phl area and surrounding towns have been the winners so far

Tomorrow looks like the everyone cashes in day.

Looks like scattered activity around now, a break with some sun and just very isolated stuff late morning/early afternoon and then the main line rolls in late today. It will be interesting to see how solid of a line does/does not form with the main show later today.

Under severe thunderstorm warning, looks worst will just miss my immediate area, but plenty of lightning and thunder and heavy downpours

Was it still a miss? Looked like it redeveloped in the general area.

Hoping to cash in today. Yesterday was vary frustrating near Towamencin. We got skirted to the east most of the day and then a promising cell evaporated as it approached us.

Here are some pictures from yesterday. The first is from my friend - she was traveling 422 nearly Valley Forge when she took this. She got rain. The others are from Towamencin. It looked like it was going to do something for sure. Alas, not a drop or even a rumble. I watched a hail core go *poof*. We did enjoy a brief cool down from the surrounding storms.

I had one or two close strikes (<5second count) right at the tail end. Had several heavier downpours, about .20”

That is crazy looking with the clouds cascading in the front. Cold downdraft maybe?

I believe so. While my area did not get hit, we benefited from a very cool outflow from this storm.

Pea sized hail at 2:45 lasting a minute or so. Rainfall up to 1” on Davis. Heaviest rain I’ve seen in a while.

How much is all this convection going to sap the threat later today?

This has bust written all over it for immediate Philly area. It’s been rather cloudy and I don’t see much organized activity downstream. By the time anything makes it here we’re going to lose daytime heating
