Was out trout fishing this morning and the river was pretty low.

Today I noticed the Delaware R. is low as well (sorry if that’s the one you were referring to). The Martins Creek close to me is summertime level low.

We had a some crazy drought periods in the 60s. You can visit https://www.drought.gov/historical-information?state=pennsylvania&dataset=1&selectedDateUSDM=20110823&selectedDateSpi=19650501https://www.drought.gov/historical-information?state=pennsylvania&dataset=1&selectedDateUSDM=20110823&selectedDateSpi=19650501 to see all of the historical data. There’s even sites that go further back and reconstruct it from tree ring data.

1964-1965 - consecutive yrs. in which PHL recorded less than 30" of precip. NOV 1964 is the furthest the salt line made it up the Delaware, RM 102 just past the Ben Franklin Bridge. During the height of the 2002 drought the salt line advanced to RM 89 close to PHL.

Wanted to double check again but how sure you think these storms roll around and what would be the best time they would be around?

Odds seems to have increased a bit, and seeing something around noon or 1 PM for a quick shot.  Could be earlier, could be later, could be nothing at all.

Thank you. So the storms won’t be long just quick moving storms?

Pretty much. Not a wash out from what I'm seeing, just take an umbrella with you and you might get a shower or two if you believe any of the models.

I think what you are seeing today over the Carolinas is what is likely over central and eastern PA Saturday…especially midday and afternoon with isolated to scattered downpours. I think some places could definitely get dumped on. May take some (good or bad) luck.

Starting to pop. A few brief downpours earlier here.
