Harbourton
I consider lake effect snow fake snow. Not that the people there don't have to deal with it but I need a strong SLP with Gulf and Atlantic moisture to float my boat.😀
Debeaches
What the heck? Climo says nothing here but I’m going all in for December snow at the beach

Harbourton
At this age I could never cope with six feet of snow. So I know what you're talking about. But the adrenaline doesn't flow like with the '96 Blizzard or the '93 superstorm, Boxer storm. Hope there is one left🤩

Combine that with thunder and lightning
ErieWX
I have to admit they are a good Christmas town in the US. It’s a product of Niña. Endless low 30’s for the high for the next several days with some snow. I am super jealous. https://komonews.com/amp/news/local/leavenworth-has-one-of-the-best-christmas-light-displays-in-the-country-holiday-season-us-news-washington-state-village-of-lights-christmastown

I experienced those conditions in Winston-Salem NC years ago. Not a big deal
Parsley
December just isn't a "winter" month around here. Sure, we occasionally luck out with a decent snow but it sure feels like December is the new November.

I think it has warmed as much as any month over the last 30 or so years.
frankdp23
Our climo lines up better with the real change of seasons, not "met" winter, fall, etc.

ErieWX
Hollywood tends to create these unrealistic expectations with their Christmas movies. Apparently cities along I-95 are supposed to have a 5 foot snowpack every December 🤷♂️ I mean heck I’m lucky to have that here in the snow belt

Harbourton
It may be winter but the Phillies have made some big moves. Got best shortstop in baseball Trey Turner and another starter in Walker. If nothing else Middleton is not afraid to go for it. More incentive to get to spring training with a few snowstorms thrown in😁

ErieWX
Man this is effing nuts, it’s like they just do this in their sleep with their eyes closed. It’s definitely on my bucket list to chase a big Sierra event and hit Boreal and/or Sugar Bowl before I turn 30. Life is short, gotta go live it up. Thinking like a 1-2 week vacation from work to make it all happen.
