The front of my house faces southeast, so whenever we get a coastal storm the east winds come across at 45 degrees and whistle across my side windows. The whistling has started over the last 2 hours or so, gusts 20-30mph at the airport.

Haha true! Did mine yesterday. And mow again Wednesday lol

I've mowed mine (counting today) 3x in the past 7 days. My neighbors must think I'm nuts, but they should realize "the weather guy knows something is up"

Also, the more you mow the better it is from your grass (and new grass germination if overseeded) this time of year. Get it nice and thick.

LOL, days of the bedroom windows open with fan running are coming to an end

I had to do a double-take at the time stamp, I didn't even think that was physically possible this time of year. But sure enough the Euro and Canadian are both showing the same kind of situation.

Meteorologically is it just because of an upper low sitting overhead? Not sure if I've ever seen that drastic of a temperature cutoff on models due to precipitation alone. Almost makes me think it's some kind of model bias. I would think maybe somewhere around 53-54 degrees but no way in hell are we staying at 45 all day long in early October. FYI record low min at ACY and PHL are 51 and 52 respectively, both back in 1974.

I'm prepping for miserable weather through next Tuesday. If it clears out before that then it's a bonus. Rain and 50s or Drizzle and 40s, both the same to me. Looking forward to a few lazy days, actually.

Idk how Tom would feel, but imo if the lake effect event earlier this week also happened in January, this event would be all yours and I would be cheering you guys on. At some point, it would start to get tough to get to work when there’s 4-5 feet that falls in a week lol
