Rainshadow
Well they threw every thunderstorm they could at us and we would bend, but not break. In the end the ACT (with Al In Spirito) summer outlook outing was had. Better late than never, here is the (banter) summer outlook. This is banter, and quite good banter at that. Number of 90 degree days at PHL for year.....36 (Includes what we have already had). Number of 100 degree days.....0 (Take that GFS) Highest temperature at PHL this year............98F. We could have gone with 94F, but think it would not have worked. Monthly breakdowns June +3F / July 0F / August +1F (Banter) Greatest Tropical Impact in Mount Holly CWA (including waters)....(Banter) Hurricane Force Gusts (Banter) in the southern half (below 40N) of area. Northern areas (banter) near hurricane force gusts.

Rainshadow
Yeah given what the course looked like when we arrived, it turned out to not be that bad. White was wetter than red. My cocorahs had 0.76”.

Rainshadow
GFS did not read the July outlook. On the other hand it knows the PHL ASOS sensor has been running a little hot.

It was a great chip shot on a very difficult hole.
Rainshadow
I still don't understand why we "lost" our tee time because the course was closed to 11 am and I had to make another tee time. If they were fully booked the rest of the day, we would have been out of luck? If it was a frost delay those tee times held up by frost wouldn't have been told, sorry, better luck some other day. Silly too to think that after sending out that e-mail that everyone who had a tee time the rest of the morning would have showed up.

What difference does 2 or 3 make in a grouping?

They did not hold us up at all.
Rainshadow
Charlie, looked it up. Last 100F year in PHL was 2012. Last time (Carl hopefully double checks by eyeing) May had the hottest temperature of the year was 1962. Same as this May with a 96F. Just dream of having 90F as your highest temperature during the month of July.

Wow, hard to believe but I guess we've been gifted upper 90s with dews in the upper 70s instead over the past nearly 10 years.

Longest stretch of non 100s was 15 years in the early 1900s. We had a couple of ten year stretches. Amazing to see a 102 in September 1881.
