What a round today. I was +9 through four holes, and then played 5-13 in four over par, including three pars and a hard fought birdie. Fell apart a bit towards the end, but still broke 100 for the second time and shot my PR (98). Something to build on!

DJ, between he and his wife's family, has an obscene net worth.  I am genuinely surprised.

Yeah I am surprised. You’d think Wayne would have talked him out of it. At least for today Rickie’s name not included. I just saw a short YouTube video on where has his game gone. Never realized how many 2nd place finishes he has had. Pretty painful.

You had the Fowler slam in 2014, top 5 or better in every major that year.

There are times when you fall into a groove. Some people tend to think this is too good to be true. Whatever you have going you must think to take it deeper. Don't back off and play conservatively. Good job.

Thanks!  Does anyone else use TheGrint?  Honestly, I think that's part of what has made this so fun. I am a data freak, so being able to track all of these statistics (Fairways hit, GIR, scrambling, etc.), even for a guy like me that is just now breaking 100, makes it so much more fun.  It automatically handles uploading your handicap to the USGA too.

I'm convinced that's why I was able to stick with exercising too...between my GPS watch, heart rate monitor, etc...stats for days 🤣

After Francis DeSales Ouimet won the US Open at the upcoming venue, golf in America changed from an upper class pastime. The number of golfers in the country at least tripled in the subsequent ten years, with a corresponding increase in golf courses (including many public courses, opening up the game to a larger segment of the population). Kudos Francis!

DJ will be 38 shortly, he's stated previously he's not going to play professionally that much longer so it makes sense he'd take the $125M & jump ship.

Reportedly the Phil deal is worth close to $200M. Can Rickie be far behind.....

Unfortunately what benefits the modern day athlete in terms of money & flexibility does not translate, from a fans perspective, to better product on the field.

I read that Rickie was playing the Scottish Open? or some other tournament opposite the LIV event. But, with his T65s in tournaments and getting nowhere any longer on the PGA Tour, I wouldn’t be surprised he accepts the loss of his sponsers to cash in there later this year.

Could be sooner rather than latter, just reported Bryson & Patrick Reed jumped ship.
