Yea I wanted to see 6z, I'm chasing this. This thing is flying so I think max is probably 20-24 to whoever is prime ccb spot. 00z euro was horrible and I probably wouldn't even chase if that happened

The mountains of Western Va wouldn't be a bad spot. Wouldn't have to sweat dry slots, banding etc; they get whacked in most scenarios.

Was considering this, problem is in drive a car and not a SUV, mountain roads would probably be rough

You have to drive through mtns regardless where you go.  As of now, mtns of west VA, western NY or nw pa. Personally they doesn't scream of a 2' snowstorm.

Just go to State College.  Decent restaurants and bars and clode.

yea state college not bad. Still though, I'm having a hard time seeing mega totals. Looks like a massive mega bad blows through for like 6-8 hrs then it's done.

GFS ensemble track looked favorable offshore yet still low snow totals??

There’s a lot more to it than offshore track.
(These are eps, just using as reference).

The earlier this shortwave goes negative tilt, the earlier it occludes/stacks and dynamics start to rot. There could be dry slots involved if you’re too close to the center. Just a lot going on with this type of set up. Where’s the thump going?!

you’re gonna wanna see this low track towards this direction : off the coast. If it makes it up to central VA/DC area, we’re get dry slotted more than likely.

we haven’t even begun to look at the H8/H7 low bc models have been bouncing around soo much on track.

Plus hp sliding off in a not so good place enhances easterly flow

This. I think you run a high risk of disappointment chasing this one for a multitude of reasons, one being it isn't going to be a slow moving storm so unless you some how end up in the right place you aren't going to see any insane snow totals.  Enjoy the Birds game at home, maybe some front end snow, then some wind whipped slop and rain.
