Haven’t started an obs thread in many years, but the last one I started brought us luck.

Mostly cloudy and 32 degrees in Spring Mount, PA. Awaiting the first flakes in about 12 hours or so.

The mets at Mt. Holly have forgotten 1000X more info about wx than I've learned about wx.

That being said, they are quite bullish on their snow map in view of a decent number of meso rmodel runs showing a 1.5" floor.

I wonder whether the more bullish models are outweighing these particular mesos in the model blend they use. Or, maybe this is the point at which judgment/experience take hold?

Regardless, I'm super psyched to get snow on snow. It's been years (2015?) since I remember having snow on snow other than a dusting on snow.

I hope their call is right out my way, but I am setting our O/U at 2" out here.  All of the mesos have been fairly consistent painting that transfer/screw zone between Lancaster and Philadelphia.

33.6 currently.

A couple nearby weather stations are reporting 32F here. The sun was out for a few minutes this morning but clouds have taken over.

NWS has me in the 2-4" zone here, but local station WFMZ feels like we're closer to 1-3". I'm just hoping for 1".

Need to decide what to do with the outdoor Christmas lights. Probably will end up turning them off for the year now because I'm worried the snow will block the fans of the inflatables after a while if we just keep them turned on.

My kids are going to be 16 and 13 this year.  Gave up on the inflatables a few years ago.  I miss those days.

No kids for us, my wife and I just enjoy what they add. I'll get a picture posted in the banter thread at some point. Hoping I can get one tomorrow night with an inch or two of snow blanketing it.

Very rare we get a region wide moderate snowfall. Hope everyone gets over 2”

I'm probably on the edge of the region for this board in far northern Berks, and based on the last few model runs my bar to clear is 1" at this point.

I hope the rest of you get 2"+ though.
