Pretty, and I’ve got several neighbors with them. They sure like holding on to their leaves. Can’t put the final touches on Fall cleanup till they drop. Hopefully by the 15th.

Which kind of tree is this? My neighbor has one and it's just as awesome.

Imo, winter "torches" are useless since it is still too cold and dark to enjoy outside activities, it's most likely muddy from rains and the heating bill will only save a few bucks per month (since overall it's still cold). If I was down south more, then it's a different story since torch would mean 60+ quite often.

Not totally useless, my friend.

This weather is perfect for one thing though...fire pits in the afternoon/evening. Temps in the 40s with a roaring fire is just about perfect. Throw in a few beverages for added enjoyment. 🍺

Hard to tell from a distance but I’d guess red oak? Looks like thicker leaves, and oaks tend to hang on to their leaves longer than than other species.

Hopefully the rain will hold off.

I was thinking back in October when I put a down payment on a Polaris with a snow plow that I might have jinxed winter.....🤔

I see the State of Delaware is going Biblical this morning, salting everything that even resembles a road by the college, 95 and 896. I could tie a month's supply of meats to my bumper and have it preserved for life.

Brining started at the DE state line yesterday.

New York City hired their own personal meteorologist after their Ida (Blame Brookhaven, blame Brookhaven, blame Brookhaven, blame Brookhaven) fiasco.  I guess they are getting their moneys worth.  I honestly thought this was An Onion post.
