Looking at current radar, it's way closer to the HRRR valid at 6PM than it is to the NAM3km valid at 6PM. Doesn't mean the HRRR is going to be right later on, but if I had to choose then I'd rather side with HRRR than other meso models at this point.

I'm on the very northern fringe at the moment. OC looks like it's getting walloped. Wildwood looks almost totally dry which is convenient since I think there's a country festival going on there this weekend.

This is the worst looking tropical system I’ve ever seen.  Not buying the HRRR’s depiction of the PRE as it’s largely on its own but we’ll see.  Otherwise hot and sticky out.

It’s not a PRE. It’s an inverted trough. And take a look at radar

Looks like it’s coming together now a bit but I have my doubts it will be as prolific as the HRRR shows given other models.  We’ll see.

Latest HRRR much weaker with the rain it’s been suggesting all day. Horrible model

Yeah I’ve seen it do that in the winter too. It will have run after run showing something and out of nowhere one run just adjusts big time. Makes it hard to trust at all. I don’t enjoy looking at it for snowstorms. It’s a pro rug-puller.

Yup.  During the winter i actually prefer the HRRR to not show my area getting hit hard 😂
