mshaffer526
So Thursday and Friday are easily going to be the hottest days of the summer, right?

Might be comparable to June 30th (PHL was 97F). Newark NJ had an over 100F in June, may not be for them.

frankdp23
89/79 here. I was thinking that dew was high, but just checked out the 4 other stations nearby and all have dews between 78.3 and 79.8. Gross.
mshaffer526
Currently 90/81 -- Heat index 109.8. Even if it may be slightly high, it's the highest reading I've had since getting the unit close to two years ago.
CyphaPSU
The mesos did not model very well that line of thunderstorms which are currently marching through western PA at the moment. I believe it is the same line of severe storms that went through Chicago and Lake Michigan last night. They look pretty healthy on sat. How well will they survive the downslope into SEPA later today? Think they will hold together and arrive in the evening. Plenty of instability in front

Rockchops
Recently I read (I think on here?) about sat visible outflow boundaries rather than radar indicated. Today was another great example. You can see it peel its way across western/central PA today ahead of the main line kicking up low level clouds in it's path along with some additional convection behind. Neat!
mshaffer526
Sun is still shining brightly here even as this line gets closer. Plenty of instability to keep things fired up... Would not be surprised to see this line strengthen.
mshaffer526
Heat index hit 115.5 on the Ambient at 4:52, the highest reading I've ever obtained. Even if that is a couple degrees high, that is sickening.
SouthernNJ
Would expect some damaging winds in this section of the storms. KDIX 5:43 PM:
