HaroldG
I've been asked to recommend to a colleague (an Israeli theoretical computer scientist currently in a post-doctoral program in New England) a good introductory book on weather --- for her. Can anyone make any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Harold
snowlurker
I'm not a met, but maybe this is a start? Maybe you should also post in the Obs/Banter subfora, too?

Sorry for the delayed response. This textbook is an intro to meteorology (as an elective) text book for non meteorology majors. I had him as a professor and knowing Stan, this text book is not going to be fluff. (I can tell also from the posted grades).
