chescowx
WB folks have been calling for this to come further west all week and that appears to be happening now. Latest tweet from JB with the new Euro and no surprise a little bit of self back patting from JB....so unlike him!! (tongue firmly in cheek) "ECMWF clobbers east coast with major snowstorm wed into Thursday. EC so far west it could change to rain PHL to BOS" "Been talking about this threat for over a week. Given the pattern - most models did not have it 3 days ago" " If I tweet about a storm, it's because I see pattern support beforehand - not wishcasting"

chescowx
Latest from JB at WB still says he like further west and bigger snows - does not see big cities seeing as much snow as GFS depicts
joelsnow
Posting 2:51 PM Nov 26 Steven DiMartino @nynjpaweather · 26m 26 minutes ago Latest HRR shows a very strong band of snow marching from E PA to NYC Metro and CT this evening. This band is going to be capable of producing a snow fall rate. I wouldn't be surprised if we get one of those 1" per hour bands.
joelsnow
Posting 3:13 PM Nov 26 Eastern PA Weather Authority You have rapidly intensifying precipitation over Maryland that will hit everywhere in our coverage area and bring another 4-5 inches on top of what you have now. So our numbers will verify, this is just a lull in the storm. This happens in a lot of storms so no need to panic. It isn't over yet. Philadelphia and South Jersey will also go over to snow and we still think we'll verify at least 3 inches there as it is snowing in Wilmington Delaware right now and moving towards you. I could not believe they were holding onto that idea especially in the afternoon when it was clear those areas would not get much snow accumulations, let alone 3 inches. That's why we have degrees and many of them... don't.

famartin
Oh I do so love how everyone there is called a "meteorologist" despite several lacking degrees...
