Did you take that job to get in the better snow?

Ill be working in Conshohocken so ill be a bit NW of city. Should be a fun few hours.

6z EURO is 4 degrees colder (34 deg vs 38) than 00z at the surface @ 66 hrs, so it's a pretty good tick colder thru the region. Idk if this will benefit us just pointing it out.

Is it snowing at the time vs not snowing yet or raining on the previous run?

Rates

Question, if you have heavier rates would it kind of evap cool down to 32 even though models dont have the resolution to show it? Wonder if this is a grass accumulation event? Im just trying to figure out if it would be rain, white rain, or actually grass accum for philly/NE

Rates, if you’re getting heavy rates it will accumulate everywhere. Highest def in grass but rates matter when temp is marginal

came in faster

Tom, somewhere you mentioned that if this comes in faster, better chances of accumulating snow? Temps would be better and depending on rates?

There is a ton of snow out there and its going to be pretty cold the next couple of nights. There is a good chance we don't hit the forecast highs for the next couple of days.

Eeee Tuesday may not cause of some clouds but we will torch good Wednesday and Thursday possibly

Also way better ground temps on Monday than we had on Feb 7.
