Sublimation 25
It's not last winter anymore. Tom's 2.5 inch-an-hour rate for Thursday a.m. looks accurate, which would mean that more snow would have fallen in 7 minutes and 30 seconds than fell all last winter at PHL. Also, the 0.6 at PHL Friday would be double the 2019-20 total.
tombo82685 14,157
just another beautiful night out. Moon lit reflection off the snow pack. Wind blowing some snow across the streets. went for a 2.5 mile walk in deep winter conditions. None of this silly 2019-2020 gigi type winter nonsense

Overall I think I managed 4.40 snow and then sleet/ice. I took a pic of that in my hand, not sure what the amount was since some of this was compacted snow/snowmelt as well. I think I'm around 190 feet AGL. Just looked at the local cocorahs station, and it recorded 4.3 new snow over the 18th/19th. In my larger area of Hunterdon County, I can drive about 4 or 5 miles north or northwest and the snowfall observations will almost always be higher. Thanks for the photo, @frankdp23. I always glad when our measurements are in line with each other. LOL

This and the Super Bowl they almost fell one on top of the other. Or is it just the luck of the band. I really don't know. And today, 2/22, is number 3. Wonder if the atmosphere has memory phenomena could be figured into this as well.

I think this one had more to do with enough elevation/cold air to keep it as snow. I suppose it can be said that the water equivalent playing field was evened vs a northwest drop off. Edit: After posting the w/e map, a case could be made for a wagon north across Mercer & Middlesex.
