So far, pretty tame. Hovering around 30mph gusts.. but this evening is when the bulk of the jet is supposed to pick up. Million dollar question is how efficient they mix down, or not...  Either way, this is a ridiculous LLJ being modeled for later this evening. Gotta imagine that flight travels will be quite bumpy.

Yo guys figured I’d post this here. If my brother gives me the ok with work I’m thinking of going out to Hamburg NY for my first LES chase. 50/50 right now we’ll see. About a 6-7 hour drive. I’ve done that a few times lol. Should I go?! NWS has like 15-30” for some spots.

Other spot would be Erie, little closer. Probably too late by now. Wasn’t paying attention would have planned this earliwr

8:50PM ->Notable increase in wind gusts within the past hour here in Tabernacle, NJ... Burlington County. Especially within the past few minutes! There was only a distant rumble from winds aloft about an hour ago, but we're definitely getting some stronger/louder gusts now.

Nearby weather station has temperature at ~64°, which is around the highest of the day. I imagine this may be contributing to the increased wind gusts. Rain just began, so maybe we'll get a little inversion going?

9:10PM -> Winds have mellowed out a bit again... Still getting some gustier winds compared to earlier, though it's not quite as "roaring" as it was not long ago. The winds were strongest during the onset of the rain, so I think there was a convective element to the rain that caused the wind to mix down more efficiently.
