So I changed my mind again. I booked a room at Henniker Motel in Henniker NH. It’s like a bit west of concord. Leaving shortly wish me luck! Been so bored lately I had to air the chance. Could end up with 6” or if really lucky 16” I have no clue,  but I also really love wet snowstorms that hit hard so definitely excited.

I was thinking about waking up early and heading southeast a bit after the 00z NAM, but the 6z and rest of suite looks like I might have picked a good spot. Radar is a beast omfg I’m so excited. It’s cold out here not worried about rain really.

Overperforming on western edge here - pouring under classic deformation band - similar to feb 2007. You will have to nowcast when you get up.  Good luck.

Looks like about an inch at Colebrook house on camera.   It's an Apple product so of course I can't see it on my Windows computer and post the pic.    Looks like it will be too far north for the best stuff, probably 6-8".

That map is the reason it was so hard picking a spot. From now on when in doubt choose the ORH hills or Maine. I’dc where the models show the jackpot that’s where I’m going. Was this storm worth a 6 hr trip? To the average person no, but to me hell yea!

One of the oddest features of this storm was when the changeover to snow happened (pretty fast transition) the snow stuck to pavement immediately. I have never seen that in my life. Whenever we have rain to snow type events in philly it always accumulated first to like mulch/grass, then cars, cold surfaces, and then pavement. This storm It stuck to everything right away like the ground was frozen. Very strange. We had an early changeover at like right before 11 which made me think, with 12 hours of snow left, that we could hit a foot.... but the ratios were ****. Fun storm, hopefully I don’t have to chase again, but I’ll be waiting...

So you drove 500 miles and spent probably over 100$ on gas and hotel room for 6-7” of snow???

I’ve been stuck in my house/this area (obvious my own choice) for basically the past 8 months. So I’m jealous. Lol.

more like 650 miles, well it's 100 miles for every inch of snow......

I love the enthusiasm however 650 miles for 6" paste job is not my cup of tea. If we continue to be skunked for another season or two I would consider chasing to the Poconos or the Jersey shore if the right situation presented itself, a huge coastal while we're sniffing cirrus or the mtns getting crushed while we're raining.
