Very similar to here.  Ambient and stratus at 1.10"  One of the few times they have matched exactly, haha.

Play the lottery if they match. My VP2 may need calibration, possibly a battery could be the cause too. Been noticing it being further off than usual. Its coming up on two years old so should look at replacing the battery before winter.

Lets see how this goes. From 6z, the meso model that got the morning convection the best was the HRDPS. It then showed afternoon convection focused from the Lehigh Valley up into northern NJ along with Jersey shore counties. Elsewhere, not as much activity other than a cluster near or just north/west of Philly late this afternoon.

Always a crapshoot. Lets see who fails at 12z.

From the 17 years I have had the VP2 I have found it consistently under reports rainfall.....which is why I do not use if for my data set of records. Only the manual gauge. I did an analysis a few years ago and found it is off by as much as 18%

12z nams keep everything south of TTN

I'll sell on the nam. Should see storms pop up in nw burbs and everywhere else as day goes on into night

If we ignore the Nam (a good idea often) there would be a stripe of heavier stuff near and north of I-78 and then more convection later today along the coastal plain. Interesting to see if there is a rip off zone in between.
