WeatherNation

Anyone else like WeatherNation? It's free on Roku. I didn't miss The Weather Channel a bit when Fios dumped them a few years ago and was a fan of AccuWeather Network until we cut the cord and went streaming only a few months ago. Happy to find WeatherNation as a replacement.

Just wondering if anyone else has discovered WeatherNation since I first posted about them back in June. I really like all of their on-camera meteorologists and find it to be excellent background music while reading weather books and model threads. I guess it's my ASMR haha! I used to do the same thing with The Weather Channel through the 90s and WeatherNation kind of reminds me of that vibe. I just hope they stick to the weather. Downfall for TWC in my opinion was when they started airing too much original programming and films.

I cut the cord with TWC back in 2005 when during the JAN blizzard I tuned in during prime time only to find they were airing Animal Storm Stories. I understand the weather weenie segment of the population is not enough to sustain the network but when you have a huge event impacting the NE corridor I think preempting scheduled programming for live coverage was warranted. Kocin left not long after so there really wasn't any reason to go back & more recently the naming of winter storms along with the Mike Seidel wind "lean-in" have cemented the embarrassing legacy of what once was a great cable channel.
