The period from about 11 to 12:30 was so was the worst. Police scanner lit up, just about every Atlantic County fire department in service for trees/wires down. I have an 8x10 aluminum framed fabric shelter at the head of my driveway, sticks out about a foot past the front of the house...a gust broke the frame in half at that small part sticking out, never had that happen before. This evergreen didn't fair so well, the girth of it gives you a sense of its previous height relative to those near by. I don't think we are either, I'm right between Galloway and Port Republic. I don't have any specific damage around my house, but yes right around 11:30 things started getting as windy as I had ever seen it down here. My hunch is things will stay "calm" like this until those thunderstorms arrive later, and even then the worst of them will probably stay inland to our west. Which is fine...we don't need any more damage, especially in these times.
