Typical spring storms changes to snow when intensity gets greater then goes back to rain. Will need elevation to help. Don't know how much. ACwx Posted March 6, 2020 Report Share Posted March 6, 2020 Can't remember seeing radar returns looking the way they do right now at KDOX...you have large stationary areas of moderate to heavy rain right next to areas of dry air. Could it just be bright-banding? I didn't think it was cold enough for that, and even so it usually looks a little "nicer" on radar imagery, not fuzzy and scattered like this.
