Snow began in East Nantmeal at 5:45pm on the 22nd with 4" of snow accumulating by midnight. An additional 22" of snow fell on the 23rd. The 26.0" of snow made this the 8th largest storm in Chester County PA history (largest being the 45.3" blizzard ending on Feb 14, 1899) and the 15th storm to exceed the 20" mark. This was the 3rd twenty inch plus storm in the county in the 6 years between 2010-2016.

Reluctantly headed up to Dorset VT the next day for a (long planned) vacation to see some “real snow”....they had blutarsky from that storm, nothing on the ground from prior storms and in fact hardly any snow that entire winter!

Just a great shot of “Baxter the Snow Dog” (ode to RUSH)...

I have one identical to that of my 2yo daughter, after the ‘96 Blizzard, where you can barely see the top of her snow-hatted head walking up the path to our front door!
