Looking for a decent home weather station - something that uploads data to WU. I looked on Amazon and found Ambient WS-2000. Any recommendations?

Go davis vantage pro 2 or davis vantage vue. Both can be hooked up to WU, have to be the software for it though.

Same...my wind vane never works right.  I'm in the woods so sheltered.  It's always an easterly wind hah

That is off for me too for now.  I need to mount it to my house.  It was too cold when I tried last month (during the really cold snap).  Figured I can live without the wind measurements for a few months.  Once I was on WU i noticed my neighbor 2 homes away has one and his winds are mint, so I use his for that.  😀

My wife got me an Ambient WS-2902A for my birthday this Sunday...I only know because she asked them to ship it discretely and it came just in the box 😁

Needless to say, I'm very excited, although she is making me wait until the weekend to mount it.  Woohoo!!

Awesome.  I'm pretty sure that is what is in my pic.  I love it.  It's cool always having the info on my phone.

Got the Ambient up and running...I have it mounted up on top of my daughter's large swingset structure...might move it to the rooftop in the future but figured that was a good first spot since it is very open and elevated.  I love messing around with this thing already!

I apologize for the questions...does it normally take a length of time for the barometer in a weather station to calibrate?  My pressure is reading at 29.92, while the rest of the stations in the area are in the 29.60's.  Thanks!

You can calibrate it yourself.  Mine was too high but was able to manually lower it to match the stations around me.  I forget how to do it off the top of my head though.
