jec6
If you guys want 'out of the region obs, I'm in west central NY state today (Keuka Lake) . Looks like I'm in a band that could get up to 27". It wasn't supposed to start here until 2pm or so, so this is already bonus snow🌨. If it's off topic and/or the snow makes everyone at home sad, just say so and I won't post more pics

JamieO
Snow started here 10 miles west of State College about a half hour ago with a nice little burst, have about a quarter inch and laying on the roads. Temp fell from 31.4 to 30.0. It's letting up as it appears to be just a small area that popped up ahead of the main precip.

tombo82685
34/25... if we can hold that should fall close to freezing once precip comes in. Expecting some snow to start maybe an inch then over to a cold rain then over to a less of a cold rain later on
Chubbs
36F, snow, an inch or two in the woods today, lasted one week

Horst at Millersville is going with 6-12 and ice, but the real controversy is the NWS's call, which shows State College getting 14. The local challenge with these systems is the mix/changeover to sleet line that basically travels up I-99. I've seen it move faster than expected, like the Valentine's 2007 storm, or be halted by rates, like in our storm last November. In their forecast discussion, the NWS said they may need to adjust numbers here this afternoon. We'll see.

I'm from Altoona (specifically, Sinking Valley) originally. Your town gets a lot less traffic on 220 with the highway built now.

And that's cool, I fish the Little J down by Sinking Valley. Snow has commenced again here, temp steady. These little patches are forming out in front of the main snow area.
