eastonwx
32/19 forecast low of 25 . For some reason thinking more sleet here (no scientific reasoning).

You guys should have a nice 3-4 hr period of white smash up that way don't you think?

Yea, we'll see. Overnite low was "only" 29, and has held steady into this AM.

You’ll get 2-4 imo. Bigger story Is dry air aloft. Once we evapo cool you will drop 3 or so degrees

NAM is too fast, should already be snowing heavy, but I like the outcome of the NAM better than the HRRR right now. Seems more realistic. RAP looks good also. If you look at the profiles they are right on the snow/sleet boundary. So we will see what happens. Some places may go back and forth,

Seems more realistic. NAM doesn't start precipitating till after 15z which will be near noon. You can't go by the radar reflectivity because the leading edge is virga

I could see the city getting a coating or so or 2" I may bump totals up a bit around 930. I want to see how things play out around baltimore because the hrrr and nam have them snowing. If they don't snow then you know mid level warmth is warmer than expected

snowlurker
I don't have a weather station or even an outdoor thermometer lol, but New Castle County Airport is reporting 33, so my only hope for non-liquid precipitation is dynamic cooling. Mitchnick
Sleet started imby about 10 minutes ago. Repprts in N Va indicate sleet has transitioned to snow, or is in the process.
susqushawn
Around DC it's starting more as rain/sleet until intensity picks up and snow mixes in. Virga fest for a while. Root for the fronto band.
