Just to show you want I mean by tagging you. Once you email me your spotter number i will then add you to the spotter group. Once in the spotter group, you will see your name changed to black with orange shadow shown in the red circle and it will say spotter (brian is a moderator so I couldn't overide his moderator status as primary group. That is why his is green). You will also have your spotter ID above your avatar which is circled in yellow. Under your avatar, you will have a skywarn spotter Pic. This is for the NWS mets who take our reports, it helps them with who is a spotter and who isn't So if you are a spotter, send me a message so we can get ya tagged as one.

Does anyone have a possible alternate contact to obtain my spotter information?  I joined Larry's webinar a couple of months ago, and never received an email with my information.  I sent a follow up a couple of weeks ago and didn't hear back.  I know they are swamped over there but wasn't sure who to reach out to.

I still have Larry's email with the spotter information from May 9th. If you're on that list, I'd be more than happy to forward it to you.

Thanks!  Much appreciated.  My email is mshaffer526@gmail.com.  I should be on the list as Matt Shaffer, if you are able to view that.  Again, thank you.

It doesn't look like you're on the list (sorry about that, chief :( ), but I'll send it along anyway. At least you'll have documentation to point to when you email them.

Thanks much!  I sent a contact request through their main page so hopefully that helps.

Just wanted to verify email addresses of Mt. Holly/Skywarn who spotters should send obs to. I think I still have Tony's email on my list :o

In addition to Tony's, I send to phi.skywarn@noaa.gov, and wfophi.webmaster@noaa.gov

Should I be sending to anyone else?

Thanks.

There used to be an easy to submit spotter form on the Mt Holly website...

Yes, just came across it. Hadn't used it in a while. Must have been updated fairly recently.

Nice. Hopefully that works. Their last online form never would submit a report.

I just have been emailing reports for years. I don't use facebook or twitter so I'll use this online form if it works.

Here are the most recent email addresses I was sending reports to (I did remove Tony ;) )

If any of those are incorrect, someone here from the NWS, please let me know.

If its a real emergency situation (tornado, flash flood, derecho type severe tstm) I would call the 800 number. There are dashboard programs to look at different social media sites, but it doesnt combine with e-mails, so one or two people are always cycling through different venues to get real time info.

Yeah e-mailing me at this point is not going to get much of a response. :bye:

anyone else have this problem when sending a report to Mt. Holly? I'm probably doing something real dumb...

I used that online form today and had no errors. I don't see my numbers on the latest public statement but I'll assume the reports got through.

Make sure you are filling out the drop down options on the left side of the page. Perhaps the error is there in either type and or amount drop down tab?

I don't remember it asking me to "verify" anything. I did have to review the report before sending it.

Also, when the event was done I did send an email to the office breaking down the final snow/sleet/ freezing rain totals. The online form doesn't let you give totals for multiple ptypes in one report.
