greg ralls
Looks like we can expect lovely morning and evening commutes tomorrow, huh? Now that it's March, I guess this kind of banter would be more appropriate in a spring banter thread.
rramblings
Many areas in NW New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, NYC and environs are still seeing power outages with restoration times of late night Tuesday March 6 or Wednesday March 7. I am not sure about Delaware and eastern MD. Anyway I am wondering if the storm forecast for the evening of March 6th into March 7th will mean that the utility companies may fall behind schedule in order to keep their crews safe. I know that the NWS Mt Holly is aware of the power restoration efforts that are going on in their forecast area. They can not control the weather but they can and do give us the best information that they can. At least given that the models are sometimes problematic. This is a revision of an earlier post I made.
Rainshadow
Well at least the trees didn't get as far as last February.
Chubbs
Brandywine at River Museum, warm in the sun despite the wind
mshaffer526
Yup, it amazes me every year how much warmer 35 degrees can feel in March than it does in early January (at least when it's not windy).
Harbourton
One thing is for sure, the last 7 years I've had more power outages than in the rest of my life. It has become a rather regular occurrence. I guess Al Gore was right.

I'd like to do away with dst in general. Granted we wouldn't have the sub 5pm sunsets, but we also wouldn't have the 9pm sunsets in summer

Boch23
While I’m over winter....I’m never going to say no to a snowstorm. With that said I’m comfortable taking a blend of the coldest model and wettest model since that presumably will give me 10+ lol
NEchestercountydude
there's an advertisement on the site for opening day of trout season on March 31st. Has there ever been snow on the ground for opening day? Lol.
TTNwatcher
Ah. The lull. The long dark teatime of the weenie soul. The hours of weather silence accompanied by model paucity. Time to contemplate all the possible failures of late March snow with progressive escapes. North and west fears of early OTS. Shore and internal NJ fears of burned QPF. Dark are the hours of our discontent.

Rainshadow
Amazing. Our southwest facing tree mounds have already lost all their snow. Snowmelt off roof sounds like a waterfall outside.
rramblings
Yes. you gotta love the late March sun. Lots of snow melt and lots of snow melt. But some of the melt in my driveway might freeze up overnight? 39 minutes ago, Rainshadow said: Amazing. Our southwest facing tree mounds have already lost all their snow. cbelke
I'd say we lost about a 1/3rd of the snow pack from Thursday already. Might be mowing by the end of the week.
