  1. Spent the weekend up in Waterville along Pine Creek Gorge. Such beautiful country up there. Leonard Harrison SP was closed due to heavy rains washing out the road in, but the view from the other side was nice too.

  2. Very heavy rain moved in off the ocean with over 2.40" of rain in the last 45 minutes here in Sea Isle City - as you can see below the streets are flooded 20210829_120113.mp4

  3. Granted these are not the same runs, but I have noticed this persisting. The GFS has been the most bullish model with the short waves coming out of the Rockies vs the ECMWF or GGEM. This has resulted in faster northern stream interaction and pulls Ida and the whole bowl of wax farther north. From skill I would lean toward the ECMWF which place the PHI area more in the square of the heavy rain potential. The GGEM seems fast with Ida's progression and does not give that short wave a chance to make a difference.

  5. Yes, phl fell to 69 last evening before midnight ending the 70+ (and 71+) streak at 18 days. I left off an equal sign, so the table I posted above showed 71+ streaks instead of 70. Below are tables for 71 and 70, 3rd and 8'th longest, respectively.

  6. Grabbed this screenshot earlier. Not something you see every day, thankfully.

  9. Yeah, all I see is rain midweek, with lots of it. Glad the NWS is using strong wording already on the threat. Sure, we can hope for shifts south with the remnants but as of now we are in a bad spot with 5-10 inch potential somewhere in our posting area.

  10. Recon finds minimum pressure down to 928mb. Wild intensification. The live coverage later today will be incredible.

  11. All it takes is record daily rainfalls to cool off PHL at night in summer. 😆

  15. As of today it is @frankdp23 in the lead. @Chubbs (has the tie breaker) is rooting for one more day, one day more. P.S. How many more tor(s) can we get on Wednesday if Ida tracks thru the area?

  16. Perfect week in OBX. Not one drop of rain and sunny. Ocean was 82 and surprisingly very clear.

  18. After this WET, humid summer I'm just about there. I also enjoyed summers more living on the coast vs. here inland. Give me Aug 15-Nov 15 as my favorite 90 day stretch. Only thing that sucks about the end of the stretch is the shortening days and time change.
