V-Day weekend bitter cold potential (a slow warming trend)

Recommended Posts

I'm cutting this off at 12z today

Vehemently agree.  925(s) have warmed slightly over the last couple of days, still nearly nearly everybody should be in the single digit club tonight without much sweating to make it.  Just happy we are still holding in the low 20s here.  Feels like "spring".

Mos for VAY is 5F tonight. Think their maxes tomorrow too low, tomorrow night mins too high, might be a double single digit min. :(

congrats

I thought only Zoolander would be a model that can come up with a temperature of -0. ;)

record tied at NYC (2). PHL just now down to 10. Angle of the cold air was all wrong. ;)

I just saw a zero at Central Park.  Check that -1F on their facebook page, first below zero since 1994.

Boston went -4 & -9 the past two days, both records

That's one competition they can win til the cows come home. The core of the thermal trof, angle of the cold, coincided with the overnight quite well there, plus they had no Lake Ontario to keep them "warm".  I guess Tom Brady is crying icicles this morning. ;)

Locally I've had three 0's & one -1 the previous two winters so I'm good for another year or so.

Here is a list of PA airport codes. The ones with "K" before it are generally able to use for soundings. Some obviously are outdated or you can't use.

thanks for this. Didn't know about K40N in Coatesville for.soundings...

Ray or tony can verify this, but I think that has changed that code, not 100% sure on that though
