...Mid Atlantic region...

A corridor of low to mid 60s F dewpoints will persist east of the
higher terrain and along southern periphery of belt of modest
westerlies. By early to mid afternoon, MLCAPE from 1500 to 2000 J/kg
is expected from VA and MD into southern PA and NJ. Storms are
expected to develop over the higher terrain and along lee trough as
the boundary layer destabilizes. Vertical shear will remain weak,
but 25-35 kt deep layer flow will support storms spreading east off
the higher terrain, possibly evolving into loosely organized
clusters capable of strong to damaging wind gusts.

3k nam has most the action after 0z. Didn’t do well at all yesterday. Maybe it can redeem itself today.

There’s still instability in the region, as well as some decent embedded vorticity..

Just a beautiful day down at the Jersey Shore in Sea Isle City NJ....I don't think I have ever seen the beach so crowded on a weekday in June before! Wondering if the fact folks are not tied to their kids being in class in getting a lot more folks to show up on the beaches of NJ much earlier than normal....let's hope so!. It briefly touched 80 degrees around noon on the beaches but most of the PM was spent in the low 70's down to 70 degrees now while 6 miles inland they swelter at 86 degrees....back in East Nantmeal we are still without power.....would be a tough day without AC back there with temps topping out at 83.8 with high humidity.

outside a few isolated svr cells, this looks like a heavy rain threat and your typical garden variety storms for later on. PWATS are surging out ahead of this

What are the thoughts on rain fall overnight? Enough to wash away the mulch I just put down tonight?

PWAT's looked to be 1.5" - 2".

If you get under any slow moving storm or something that trains then yea it could. But generally I’d say you’re fine. Tomorrow into tomorrow night looks like better chance of heavy rains as pwats increase more

Yup.  I am watching the line that is trying to form along the M/D line.  This stuff has taken a more decidedly NE turn as the night has progressed.

Great storm. A ton of lightning and heavy rain. This is probably anecdotal but it always seems like the thunder/lightning is better at night. Yesterday's severe event was less enjoyable than this.
