On the other hand, we are within 76 of the most sun-filled days of the year. That's 21% of the year!

It's good to see you celebrating the arrival of maximum daylight.

All joking aside, I once spent June 21st on an overseas business trip near the 49th parallel. It felt amazing to still be walking in a bustling city in daylight/dusk at close to 10:00. Makes me want to go even further north for midnight sun.

I’ll celebrate anything summer. Honestly, I’ll celebrate roughly 10 out of 12 months in a year. I like most times of the year. As a weather/outdoor enthusiast living here I’m glad I enjoy most times of the year pretty much equally. Sucks that you hate summer so much, but I know working outside and it being your busiest time of the year plays a role.

It barely feels like spring has started and already we are less than a month until days start getting shorter.

I remember as a kid, it felt like summer vacation was over after July 4.  Looking back as an adult, I'm sure the slowly shortening days didn't help.
