I think I found the Darwin Award winner for 2019 (or at least a nomination).

No I don't.  I thought I responded last night, maybe forget to hit the enter key.

Anyway the nearly consistent left of track bias by the models has continued with Dorian to the end. Great for the Carolinas.

Yes from dorians outflow. For your location I’d say 40%. Not sure it gets that far nw. Better chance near city and of course VAY

Yup....Ocracoke/Hatteras gonna take a beating.  Hopefully it's not *as* bad in the northern OBX.

Per radar Cape Hatteras is in eye. Here is the 8AM obs.

CITY SKY/WX TMP DP RH WIND PRES REMARKS
CAPE HATTERAS LGT RAIN 78 78 100 SE48G66 28.37F VSB 1/2

The last and final landfall point looks like it is going to make it.

Edit: I just saw the radar loop, that was quite the recent eastward jog, I will have to change that to too close to call, although as you posted Hatteras is within the eye & the eyewall affected North Carolina nonetheless.

Cape One More Chance FTW. I don’t know if I would want to win this contest.
