Looks like they compete in US Bands and not Tournament of Bands. Best of luck at the Championships.

I'm in the pit crew for my kids' high school, so from one band dad to another: I salute you!

Can we spice things up a bit and do a shamble, throw $1 in the pot?  I don't know...something that each group can compete for so we have some post-round bragging rights

That's the nice thing about being a scuffling golfer.  My driver is no worse than my other clubs.

I hope you all see this in time.  Well Middletown really hosed us.  If Carl didn't call, we wouldn't have known we were knocked out because of a 144 person outing.

Anyway after talking to Tom this late in the month, we came up with two options.

One to keep it in Bucks County was to go to Northampton Valley.  Their tee sheet is wide open on the 19th and we could start at 10 am. Their posted green fee is $68.

https://www.northamptonvalleycountryclub.com/

The second option is to go back to Golden Pheasant in Lumberton, NJ.  They do have a small outing that morning and we would not be able to start until 11 am.  I didn't discuss green fees as their tee sheet doesn't go out that far and Brian already left for the day.  Their web site posted rate is $64.  http://www.goldenpheasantgc.com/rates/

Anyway this is a time to be selfish. Please let us know your preference by 9 pm on October 11th. Majority rule, we want to keep as many of you as we can and Middletown Country Club should say they are sorry for doing this to us.

I will contact the NWS people who are coming personally.

I am off this Saturday and plan to finalize the venue by the end of the day.

WTF?!?!?!?! Well, that sucks!!!!  I haven't played there in a long time and probably never will after this issue.

My thoughts on the subject... The courses around here are dry (extra roll) and Northampton Valley isn't a bad course but I think it went the way of a family run business to a municipal business. I heard conditions are varying on the course such as dry, burnt patches, skimping on the upkeep, poor irrigation system, etc. It has mixed reviews right now on Golfnow. I'm fine playing it, since I'm used to these conditions. GP is fine with me, although VAY conditions have still been wet, so probably dealing with mud puddles everywhere.

Given the semi-centralized location we were trying for, I'm willing to try NVCC, but if the general population wants GP, then that works for me. I'm flexible.

I haven't played at Golden Pheasant since early August.  Ramblewood was lush this week.  I don't remember when we played NVCC (early September?) , but I thought it was in better shape then than Middletown was today. It looked like they were burning off the crab grass (Middletown) today.  Middletown bunkers were horrible.

BTW Dean & Lee are good anywhere.
