Recommended Posts

This might be the warmest 55 degrees has ever felt.  Thought about running around outside in my shorts and T-shirt before work.

Currently 60 in chalfont....Looks like most stations will easily set new record warm minimums. If the sun was out the Forsythia prob would start blooming.

62F here with some scattered light rain. Hard to believe that this time last week was 10F...just a 52 degree warmup.5a58a7d0829f5_ScreenShot2018-01-12at7_18_47AM.png.b033a32ebbe950fe18b5532e5c9f57dc.png

Yesterday afternoon our backyard was still frozen solid, not sure how much the ground has softened since.  At least the qpf has come down somewhat as we have edged closer to today.

Whats the record for temp drop in a given day? I could see a 35-40 degree drop tomorrow. 60+ after midnight then by tomorrow night low 20s

off the top of my head Jan 2014 had a 60 / 13 day & Jan 1978 had 61 /12 day

also later that month, Jan 1978, we had a 59 /24 day, most impressive flash freeze I remember after nearly 2" of rain on top of a big snowmelt, residual runoff froze solid & didn't melt until March

At 6:45 AM it was 62 F.

I think Reading's record high for today is 68 F from 1975.

Looks like it's still 62 F around here according to the NWS.

Can’t buy a radar loop like that for inland folks when it’s 25 degrees out.

I’m digging this weather. Nice steady rain all morning. Temps in the 60s. Picked up .80” so far, gets me wanting spring . Don’t get me wrong I wish it was snow.
