Second round of heavy rain here in Newtown and looks like plenty to come. Not much wind and just some occasional thunder, but still love sitting outside on the porch watching and listening to the rain.

Hi! from about 4:40 PM to 4:50 approximately .5 inches of rain in about ten minutes. No rain since then but more on the way. Was very windy, I'd estimate somewhere in the mid 30s mph. Some impressive lightning so I stayed inside as the thunder was roaring.

Maybe not as bad as I thought. Outside the zone I said this morning ttn-hfd, there were only 3 severe reports outside that area. All of those reports from the rdg cell. The one in Amity area could verify as severe, but the ptw wind was below severe, the hail was severe criteria. Most of the reports were from rain. Even though on velocity there was wind aloft, I think due to the insane amount of low level moisture and lack of dry air it was harder for the winds to transpire down to surface

2.26" and counting.
