No chance seeing the Anteres rocket launch this am @719

Boy was I irritated Saturday morning.  I was letting my daughter watch the webcast on my phone of the launch sequence/countdown at Wallops.  Just as we are getting ready to watch the launch and head outside, some schmoe flies into the restricted zone!  That was a letdown.

Well...we finally broke down and got one.  Can't wait for it to snow.

If this winter is a dud we know who to blame. 😉

Winter weather advisory for trace freezing rain in the Lehigh valley. Let it snow as the winter headline season is underway!

A lot of lower spots in Chester and Montgomery County have already slipped to or below freezing. Watch for some black ice as residual moisture from earlier and fog could make things a bit dicey in spots. No worries in the higher spots like here as we are at 37.7 but seeing that KPTW is already at 32.0 and Perkasie is 32 with Freezing Fog

Weather is strange. I'm quite a ways farther south than Tony and Paul and on the coastal plain, yet I've had three frosts occurring over the past two+ weeks.

That's microclimates for ya. Probably one of the most interesting parts of meteorology to me. Also another reason why I like reading and discussing obs with people on wxboards.

Heavy frost. Almost enough to shovel. ;)

Just had some graupel from that sucker

Actually might of been some small hail. Looked like temps were a little to warm for graupel around 52

My 7 year old told be after school that something not rain fell from the sky during recess. "Some sort of ice" She couldn't tell me if it was graupel, hail or sleet. I'll cut her some slack. ;)

based on temps in the 50s I'm wondering if it was hail?

Thats what I'm thinking now. I mean it was really small what was pelting me like the size of sleet balls.
