Temperature/Obs/Boring Weather Discussion

Recommended Posts

Just had a downpour here in Malvern with some of the biggest raindrops I've ever seen.  Tiny blob on radar moving due east just north of Rt. 202.  Had lots of folks running to put up their car windows.

Might also be a record for the most inept within 24 hour GFS 2m forecast also.  I had to seriously triple check the run because I couldnt believe it was this bad.

Third consecutive morning that the 24 hr low was from 7 am the previous morning, not a very cool  trend.

I'm looking forward to the weekend temps as well, but what is the cloud situation going to be like?  It seems like a 50/50 shot between sun and clouds at this point.

Looks like onshore marine junk lower clouds on Saturday, maybe not as bad your way or it breaks up somewhat with daytime heating.  Sunday then its the mid to high clouds with the approaching Monday system.

Good point. Both the NAM and RGEM show quite a bit of cloudiness over the weekend with the easterly flow. Several models even hint at light rain or drizzle as a result. When it comes to weekend weather, I always worry about what could go wrong

Yeah that's a new kind of awful when your predicted daytime high is lower than the overnight low and there are no clouds/pcpn/front involved.  The next version of the gfs looks alot better with 2m temps. I think you'd need the lfm to replace it to get much worse.
