  1. I'm no radar expert, but I thought I saw what looked like a hook echo starting to develop over the New Hope, PA/Lambertville, NJ area as the storms just moved through...but it seems to have lost that signature now. That portion of the storm does not have any warnings out for it at the moment, sooooo...nevermind I guess.
  2. I work in center city and we could feel our building swaying from the wind when this moved through! This was a more impressive event than Sunday was, in my opinion. Why didn't we hear "First Alerts!!!" about this for days leading up to it?
  3. Skies are definitely brightening, but still pretty cloudy here near Valley Forge.
  4. Pretty sure there used to be a thread or two about this in the past, but I can't seem to find it (may have been on the old board)... With today's severe weather potential, it got me thinking - what are the sites you all use online for radar imagery? I often feel like the NWS Mt. Holly radar site is too small of an image on the screen, and sites like wunderground.com have too much bloat/ads on them that distract or cause slow performance. Is there something out there (for free) that is similar to the Radarscope app, but for the browser? Thanks!
  5. Sorry to ask...but what app is this a screen shot from? Thanks.

  7. I could be wrong but I think January 1996 is the only time that blizzard conditions have verified in Philly.
  8. Just saw the Philly area was upgraded to a Blizzard Watch. When is the last time we were under one of those? February 2010?
  9. Starting to see those doomsday scenario snow maps appearing on Facebook...
  10. getting really windy in the Valley Forge area now. Probably the strongest of the day so far.
  11. Tornado Warning now for NW Chester and SW Montgomery county now. Right where I am.

Forgive me if this has been discussed here before. A quick search didn't find me anything. Does anyone here use this site? http://www.simuawips.com/ Just wondered if it was any good. Looks to be free...
